Rehearsals are held every two weeks, run by the Irish Pensioners Choir and the Irish Elderly Advice Network

Time
Rehearsals - 12noon to 2pm
Social Time and sing-song for choir members - 2pm to 3pm

No auditions - this is a community choir for people who love to sing Irish songs, meet up and have some uplifting fun

We have a small choir travel budget - we know travel is a big issue for people - please speak to us to discuss this if it is an issue for you.

Our Story - Irish Pensioners Choir
The Irish Pensioners Choir was set up over 20 years ago as part of a cultural project to use Irish music, culture, friendship and empowerment to tackle loneliness, isolation and poor mental and physical health in older people in London.
The Irish Pensioners Choir gives older people the opportunity to sing, make friends, perform and celebrate and share their culture with younger generations and the wider community in London. Our work is focused on using culture to empower older people and help them live fulfilled, happy, content and active lives in older age.
We also looked at local and national data on older people and listened to what people in the community had to say about getting older which helped inform how we made decisions about our events and activities.
We are very fortunate to have an ongoing partnership with the Irish Elderly Advice Network, a charity supporting older people with welfare, housing and Cost of Living needs. Our partnership has led to lots of support for choir members. The Irish Pensioners Choir perform regularly nursing homes, Camden Market and other venues spreading the word of both our choir and the partner advice services.
